About The Publisher: Kari Treat

Welcome to Macaroni KID Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates! I'm so glad you're here.

While our name says "Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates," we cover family fun across the whole Northwest suburbs:

Arlington Heights Bloomingdale Elk Grove Village Hoffman Estates Rolling Meadows Roselle Schaumburg Streamwood

🏡 This area is home

I grew up in Rolling Meadows, headed to Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!), worked in Arlington Heights and Chicago, spent more than a decade in Schaumburg, and now live in Roselle with my husband and our two kids. You could say I know my way around!

🎩 Lots of passions, lots of hats

When I'm not hunting down the best local events, I coach para swimming with Reach Aquatics and the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA), and I was honored to be named Illinois Swimming's 2025 AWD Coach of the Year. I also co-founded the Limb Difference Collective Foundation and co-host the Parenting Children with Limb Differences podcast.

My goal is simple: help your family find the fun, because I'm out there doing it with mine too!

Can't wait to see you out there! 💛
