Parent-to-Parent Review: Exploring ECOLE 360’s Flexicare Program

A Reliable Solution for Busy Parents

Finding high-quality, flexible childcare can be a challenge, especially for parents with unpredictable schedules. Daycares, Summer Camps, Nanny’s, & Sitters can sometimes be hard to come by or have bigger enrollment requirements than expected. We had been part of the ECOLE 360 family from 2019-2022 when our first child, Mackenzie, was there and I was working full-time. Now that I’m still a ‘stay-at-home-mom’ who's trying to build multiple businesses, I’m juggling every waking minute between being present with the kids, while also getting out to network, taking meetings, and addressing my personal needs. That’s why I was thrilled when I saw that our friends at ECOLE 360 had started offering a Flexicare drop-in daycare program, which offers families a reliable, engaging childcare option when we need it—without the commitment of full-time enrollment.

The Publisher received Flexicare drop in days in exchange for sponsorship. All thoughts and opinions expressed are her own.

Over the past few months, we explored the three ECOLE 360 locations—Palatine, Arlington Heights, and Schaumburg—with Flexicare's Drop-In Days, and my son, Donovan (age 3), finished every single visit with a big smile on his face. Here’s what made this experience so special!

A Well-Rounded, Enriching Experience

While I was familiar with the Palatine location, from Mackenzie's adventures, I couldn’t wait to explore the Schaumburg and Arlington Heights spots, as well. Every center features bright, inviting classrooms, ready for imaginative play, helping children engage and learn in a fun and natural way.

But what continues to impress me with their programming, is the variety of daily enrichments integrated into their curriculum. Depending on the day he attended, Donovan participated in activities that incorporated Spanish, French, Orff Music, Yoga, and Sign Language—keeping his mind and body active. When Mackenzie was there in her first 3, very formative years, I loved knowing they were able to provide her with these experiences, something I could not have committed to at home. Hearing her counting in Spanish and French by age 3 was a beautiful surprise! It’s amazing how effortlessly kids absorb new languages in this kind of immersive environment.

Their organic meals were another standout feature. Donovan had the chance to try a variety of foods, exploring new textures and flavors in ways that expand his palate and encourage healthy eating habits. This is definitely something that helped my daughter find interest in a variety of foods early on. Enjoying this time with their peers encouraged them to follow the other and try more than at home again.

Why Flexicare is a Game-Changer for Parents

If you’re a parent with a flexible schedule, you know how unpredictable life can be. Working or not, some days, you may need focused work time, attend important meetings, or even just an uninterrupted moment to catch up on errands. Flexicare takes the pressure off, providing a structured, safe, and stimulating alternative to relying on screen time while you get things done.

Thanks to ECOLE 360’s Flexicare program, I was able to:

  • ✅ Attend networking events
  • ✅ Set up meetings and visit local businesses
  • ✅ Run errands without the car seat struggle
  • ✅ Record new episodes for my podcast
  • ✅ Finally treat myself to a much needed summer haircut

Meanwhile, Donovan was learning, playing, and making new friends—and when I picked him up, he greeted me with the sweetest update notes and pictures from the teachers, sharing all the fun he had that day.

Tips for Finding the Right Daycare in Your Community

If you’re considering Flexicare—or any childcare program—it’s important to do your research to find the best fit for your child and family. Here are some key steps to help you navigate the process:

1. Research Online & Ask for Recommendations

  • Check reviews and parent testimonials online.
  • Join local Facebook groups or parenting networks to hear firsthand experiences.
  • Visit daycare websites to learn about their curriculum, facilities, and schedules.

2. Ask the Right Questions When Touring & Interviewing Providers

  • What is the teacher-to-child ratio?
  • What curriculum and learning activities are included?
  • How does the center handle meals, allergies, and dietary preferences?
  • What is the flexibility in scheduling (drop-ins, part-time, full-time options)?
  • How do they encourage social, emotional, and cognitive growth?

3. Be Ready to Answer Questions from Providers

Daycares want to ensure they can best support your child’s needs, so be prepared to discuss:

  • Your child’s schedule and routine (nap times, eating habits).
  • Any allergies or special needs they should be aware of.
  • Your expectations for communication (daily updates, progress reports).

4. Consider the Atmosphere & Safety Measures

When visiting a center, notice:

  • ✅ Are the classrooms warm, inviting, and engaging?
  • ✅ Is there ample space for safe indoor & outdoor play?
  • ✅ How do educators interact with children?
  • ✅ What security measures are in place for drop-offs & pick-ups?
