By Kari Treat | Publisher | Macaroni KID Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates August 24, 2026

There's just something about a Friday night in the fall around here — the smell of popcorn and hot chocolate, the marching band warming up, littles in oversized team hoodies chasing each other under the stadium lights. 🏈✨ Whether you've got a future Homecoming King in the stands or you're just there for the snacks and the sunset, Friday Night Lights season is BACK across our Macaroni KID communities! From Arlington Heights to Streamwood, our hometown teams are taking the field, and honestly? There's no better (or more affordable) family night out. Grab a blanket, grab the kids, and let's go cheer on the home team. Here's your guide to who's who across our eight communities — pick your favorite, or become a proud fan of them all!

🐺 Arlington Heights — Hersey Huskies

Home field pride runs deep at Hersey! Bundle up in orange and brown and cheer on the Huskies as they take on their Mid-Suburban League rivals under the lights. Bring the kids early to catch the band's pregame show — it's a family favorite.
