Greener Good is a vibrant creative reuse shop and sustainability‑focused community space in Arlington Heights. Their mission is simple and powerful: keep usable materials out of landfills while supporting local families, teachers, and makers.
Inside the shop, you’ll find an ever‑changing mix of art, craft, office, and school supplies — all donated by individuals and businesses and offered at low prices. Every visit feels like a treasure hunt, with new and secondhand items arriving daily.
Greener Good also plays a vital role in supporting local classrooms. Through their Tools for Schools program, teachers can access free and low‑cost supplies, helping stretch tight classroom budgets and ensuring materials get a second life where they’re needed most.
Families can also join in the fun through Creative & STEM Workshops that use reclaimed and repurposed materials. These hands‑on sessions encourage imagination, sustainability, and problem‑solving — all while keeping costs low and reducing waste.
Whether you’re looking to donate materials, volunteer, shop sustainably, or spark creativity, Greener Good offers meaningful ways to get involved and make a positive impact in the community.
Business Review
"I’ve found so many great teacher gifts here - honestly, if I were an educator, this would be my first stop at the beginning of the school year! Greener Good is also where I’ve picked up fun supplies like stickers and craft materials for our Macaroni KID meet‑ups. I’m excited to check out their new space and see how we can incorporate even more of their creative reuse items into my nonprofit’s events and care packages. It’s such a gem for families, teachers, and anyone who loves to create sustainably." Kari, Publisher of Macaroni KID Schaumburg
